With the insurgence of AI (artificial intelligence) for content writing and so much more, it’s more important than ever that your blog content stands out.
Not only is your blog the content hub for your business but it also:
- ignites UX* and interaction,
- fuels your social media fire,
- sparks SEO** for your website,
- fires up brand awareness and authority,
- sparkles products/services edutainment,
- explodes digital influence— as your publishing house.

Your 24/7 digital business home, your website, offers visitors content opportunities to get to know you. Your blog is often the invitation that brings them around, but it also serves as the concierge to all your business avenues.
Taking any given business avenue, led by your resource-rich mix of content, gives visitors different ways to consume content, learn about services or products, and get to know more about your business. Your blog does a good job of helping you to create these avenues, pathways, and bridges for inbound marketing impact.
Remember that the content on your blog, beyond the critical role of creating brand awareness, serves your audience at every stage of the buyers’ journey. At the same time, make sure to share original thoughts, bring a unique voice, and illustrate new ideas with your blog’s content to stand out in a sea of sameness. Again, this matters more than ever in an AI-infiltrated level of content output.
Connecting is the Magic for Your Blog
To authentically connect with your audience, you need to dump the sameness. It’s your job to introduce people to your business, products or services, industry, and brand. But you need to do so by embracing your uniqueness and showcasing thought leadership so you stand out. Offering mixed formats to reach people in whatever way they prefer to consume content allows you to gain greater attention. It also makes content repurposing an effective way to communicate your message consistently over multiple channels.
Using multiple formats for mixed media content choices allows you to continually learn and grow by experimenting, testing, and expanding your content offerings. It also helps keep things interesting and surprising for viewers and readers.
Trying new things makes for more creative, exciting, and interesting ways to express your content. Whether your core content type is written, audio, or video, making content that’s fresh— maybe a little surprising or fun— makes it more intriguing, giving people a reason to want more. I’m not saying to change your core competency or switch from your strongest content format, but why not expand a little, repurpose content in extraordinary ways, and automatically extend your reach along the way?

Blogging for Business
Getting the strategy for your blog content management correct means connecting the dots between your blog and business. When you align content to business goals, you create those avenues of business for people to follow a pathway straight to doing business with you.
Further, you can better measure content results and set clear KPIs (key performance indicators) attached to your business goals. Connecting the dots between your business and blog helps you to grow your business and increase sales. Including CTA’s (calls to action) strategically sprinkled into your content lets you always specify next actions so the next step you suggest is spelled out for readers or viewers.
Your blog is often the central content hub for your business and foundational to your content marketing plan while also fueling your social media fire. The format, whether written, audio/video, visual, or whatever kind of content you excel with and consider your main content type, doesn’t matter. What does, is that you connect your business and audience in a way that’s useful and matters for your specific needs case.
From your core (original) source content asset, repurposing for other formats and media types is easier and easier to do. AI tools in particular have ramped up the solo or small team’s possible content output considerably to increase production and save time, too.

Blog Quality Over Quantity IMO
While consistency in publishing makes sense for mega valid reasons, quality always rules, and the reasons are many. But mainly, at least for me, quality over quantity suggests a value-added approach prioritizing resource-rich content.
Producing resource-rich content means providing impactful information and thoughts, perhaps educational help and direction, and overall value a person can use. Being helpful to others is what it’s all about! If your blog content impacts people, you are doing something right.
Using the five plus one extra blogging tips highlighted in this post, you can work to focus on creating impactful content that connects with people for bigger blogging wins in 2024!
I’m still writing my blog posts and find this recent post from Neil Patel to be very interesting with a few data points for the (so far) findings of human-created content over AI.
Focus on attention-worthy, fresh, and intriguing content with an aim of leaving visitors wanting more. Well, at least for me, that sums it up. Your blog has a big job and belongs at the top of content marketing priorities.

Dumping the sameness is a keen way to put it; I dig it my friend. Listen to your blogging heart. Practice writing….a ton. Trusting your intuition and polishing your writing skills through diligent practice influences one to deviate, to blog genuinely and to bring their unique writing gifts to the table. The process is fool proof.
