Who doesn’t want to get your blog noticed by Google? Today, Guest Contributor Sathish Arumugam gives you a perspective to go get that much wanted notice from Google, why, and how to do it for free! Thanks, Sathish, and over to you…
So, you have a blog that lacks online visibility. Let’s tackle this today…
Unless your articles are ranking well in the search engines, you can’t progress much online.
How to get your blog and its content noticed on Google?
By the way, there is always a debate ‘should I write for my users or Google?’
I would insist – write for the users appropriately. Search engines are likely to reward it in terms of ranking.
Indeed, tweak the Google rankings with repeatable SEO efforts as it involves everything like keyword research, content marketing, backlinks, etc.
SEO may be hard to understand and get used to. But, use this free strategy to achieve consistent results.
In this article, let me share with you some powerful SEO hacks to get your content to rank high on Google. This is about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) made easier.
I’m sure; you can achieve it!
If your rivals can do it, why don’t you?
Google is meant for all. And, the ranking positions are variable. Indeed, it is not set for someone.
So, anyone can achieve Google’s #1 with strategic inputs.
And if you want to accomplish it for free, I suggest you take the power of SEO in hand.
SEO is a great way to make your website presence stand out from the crowd. Indeed, it drives the most organic traffic to any business or blog.
Let’s dive in.
Never ignore these Critical SEO Chores
On-page SEO
Indeed, the most critical part of the SEO strategy is keyword research and optimizing your content for those right keywords.
The fact is it’s all about tailoring the content for the user’s search intent. Originally, we used to refer to it as content optimization.
Keywords are one of the critical on-page factors that connect your content and the user’s search query.
Create long-form content so that it can be in-depth on any specific topic you choose to write about.
Include a compelling title and meta description.
Make sure to embed keywords wherever it is essential, and it fits – title, meta, alt and heading tags, URL, etc.
I always insist you sprinkle related keywords throughout the content naturally.
Include image files and video streams wherever you feel it is necessary. At times, the image or video files you embed could boost up your ranking in its own category.
People use Google image searches more than we believe. So, optimizing your images properly can help you to rank on Google, and to get noticed by those users.
Off-page SEO
Backlinks are always the deciding factor of your site performance. It’s been proven.
The number of referring domains highly correlates with better rankings.
Indeed, you will have to build quality backlinks to get noticed by the search engines.
Start with site audit on off-page factors, nothing but the backlinks.
Look for the low-quality backlinks first.
How to categorize those links? What are its characteristics?
Irrelevancy is a great determining factor. Here is a sample.
No explanations required to understand that the above links are ugly.
So, what to do with it?
It’s a global recommendation to remove or disavow those. But don’t.
Yes, I mean it.
Don’t remove it. Even removing these low-quality links can impact your domain authority and Google rankings.
The low-quality links aren’t a problem when it comprises a small percentage of your link profile.
So, empower your link profile with more new quality backlinks. Put your entire efforts towards getting new (more backlinks) to offset the impact of toxic links.
Even, authority sites like Backlinko, Moz, etc. will have spam backlinks. But, it is negligible since the majority of the links are from authoritative and trusted sources.
By the way, removing the bad backlinks is in the process. But, do it later and slowly as you acquire new backlinks parallelly.
Obviously, all of this you can do for free.
All set; let’s get into more action plans other than on-page and off-page SEO to settle on Google’s #1.
Be Proactive
Google is more powerful and strategic than you think.
Indeed, it doesn’t perceive the well-designed sites. Instead, it looks for the most relevant website pages that are appropriate for the specific search queries.
So, make sure your pages target the specific topic to the core. Hence, I insist you produce long-form, in-depth articles on any topics to write.
Again, Google never demands lengthy content for better ranking. There are even articles with just 500 words rank #1 on Google.
It’s all about how informative, valuable, and appropriate it matches the search query. And, how it offers a solution to the user’s problems.
Then, make your pages easy to crawl by Google Spiders. Internal links can help you in this regard, exponentially.
Internally linking your website pages can reduce the click depths. As a whole, the website is easier to crawl.
Be consistent. Every article you publish is yet another opportunity to get noticed by Google. Consistently rendering of valuable information and advice to the users is what Google likely appreciates most.
Next, don’t miss out and repurpose your content often. Get the performance report from Google Search Console of any specific page. Analyzing the search queries, you will get more clarity on the user’s behavior and expectations.
Repurpose the specific article with additional content and updated data that further favors people who are seeking for it exactly.
Get Verified By Google
Submit your business website to the online directories. I agree Google has a big ecosystem. Still, it can’t be everywhere at once. So, it is likely to rely on some other reliable sources over the web. You can try the web directories.
List your business website URL on more relevant and Google-indexed sites with proper NAP information.
Google treats it as a trustworthy signal to make sure you are active in the industry. Also, the business information you gave is reliable.
The next big thing is verifying your Google My Business account. Especially for local service-based businesses, GMB rankings are critical. Claim your business on Google Maps.
While doing so, provide as much as business information, a profile description, photos, etc. to help the online users to get their answers quickly. The more perfect your Google business listing is, the more your business can get noticed by Google and local users.
Most of the directories allow users to sort the results based on the positive reviews. So, render outstanding services and get good reviews. More positive reviews will rank you higher on Google and other directories. So, your business or website will get noticed by potential prospects.
Influence Other’s Authority
Success takes its own time. I understand.
Still, you can leverage the top influencer’s authority in your niche to tweak your site rankings rapidly.
Hence, blogger outreach and guest posting services get more traction.
Prospect – Find and target the influential bloggers in your niche who are already trusted by Google and target users.
Befriend – Get them featured on your interview series, round-ups, social pages, and reserve your space in their good books.
Ask – You won’t get anything without asking. Request that they render little favors to you. That means a lot.
As a result, you can get an opportunity to contribute a valuable guest article to other blogs and a chance to get noticed by a new audience.
Otherwise, request reviews, recommendations, testimonials, or anything about your products, services, or even content. Good words from trustworthy people can do magic. That can take you to newer heights than you imagine.
But, make sure to credit their inputs by reciprocating or by offering something of equal value in turn.
Promote
Despite all the above tactics, it won’t be fruitful unless you promote your content.
Dumping articles in the archive, you can’t expect your website to perform well on Google.
Do share your content on communities like Bizsugar, Growth Hackers, and Triberr.
Post your articles to social networks to attract more audiences and gain website traffic.
Actively participate in forums, Quora, and other discussion platforms to attract more attention.
The more views on your brand or website URL’s, the more you will get noticed by Google.
It’s not up to you to say your content is GOOD. Others should accredit it. Your website content should get validation from those to whom it matters. So, spread your good content to reach more people and attract more backlinks and shares.
To Wrap Up
Smart marketers don’t just rely on a single source for promotions or to get their site and content noticed.
So, diversify your traffic sources.
That doesn’t mean that you will have to invest a lot in ineffective ad campaigns.
Try out the above ideas to get your site noticed by Google for free. Sure, this will work out.
Consequently, by boosting Google rankings, these practices can also help you by driving traffic from other various sources.
These days, Google loves swift sites. Speed-up your blog pages (as much as possible) to win the game.
SEO isn’t easy (as I said earlier); still, it’s worth it. Be consistent and strategic. You will succeed.
Sathish these are smart tips. I doubled down on driving Google traffic a month ago to the day. So far, so good. Google simply love when you publish in-depth, beneficial content geared to solve your reader’s problems. Do that and you are golden.
